Common questions
Where exactly in Downtown Dubai are you located?
Matryoshka Beauty Salon is in the Carlton Downtown Hotel, M Floor, on Sheikh Zayed Road in Trade Centre Second. The hotel is a known landmark — 4-minute walk from Financial Centre metro (red line), 8-minute walk from Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. Set your Uber or Careem pin to "Carlton Downtown Hotel main entrance". From the lobby, the salon is the mezzanine floor — take the lift on the right and turn left after exiting. The salon entrance has a burgundy door with the matryoshka doll logo. If you are unsure, the hotel security guard at the main door speaks English and Russian and will walk you to the salon if needed. First-time visitors driving in often miss that the hotel sits between the residential block and Financial Centre exit — slow into the right lane just past the World Trade Centre exit and the forecourt entrance will be on your right within 100 metres.
Is there parking?
Yes. Carlton Downtown Hotel has underground paid parking accessible from the Sheikh Zayed Road service road — 5 AED per hour, payable at the exit terminal in cash or card. Valet parking is available at the hotel main entrance for 40 AED up to four hours — drop your car and walk straight to the salon via the lobby and lifts to M Floor. Street parking on side roads behind Sheikh Zayed Road is free outside peak hours (after 18:00 weekdays and all day Friday). For express visits under one hour, valet is the most convenient option; for longer appointments like keratin or color, the underground garage is cheaper. Apple Pay and Google Pay both work at the exit terminal, so no need to carry physical cards. The garage rarely fills before 20:00 even on weekend evenings, so finding a spot is consistently quick.
How do I get there by metro?
Take the red line to Financial Centre station. Exit toward Sheikh Zayed Road (signposted "Sheikh Zayed Road / Trade Centre"). Walk south along the service road for 4 minutes — Carlton Downtown Hotel is on your left. Enter the lobby and take the lift to M Floor. In summer (June through September) prefer the air-conditioned metro footbridge over walking at street level — the 400-metre outdoor portion is uncomfortable in the heat. The metro runs 05:00–21:00 Saturday to Thursday and 10:00–21:00 on Friday, so the full corridor matches our daily 10:00–21:00 salon hours without any timing gap. A single Nol card silver ride is 3 AED from anywhere on the red line in zone 1. The footbridge corridor at Financial Centre is fully covered and exits 50 metres from our hotel forecourt.
What areas of Dubai do you serve?
Downtown Dubai is our home base, but we serve clients from across Dubai. The salon is most convenient for residents of Downtown, DIFC, Trade Centre, Business Bay, Za'abeel, Old Town, Dubai Marina (via metro), Jumeirah (10–15 min drive), and JBR/JLT (15–20 min). For tourists staying at Burj Khalifa, Burj Vista, The Address, or Dubai Mall hotels — it is a walk-in distance. Clients from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi typically combine a salon visit with shopping at Dubai Mall to make the trip worthwhile. We do not offer mobile or in-home service — all treatments are performed at the Carlton Downtown salon to keep our hygiene and equipment standards consistent. For visitors from outside Dubai, the most efficient itinerary is to book a 90-minute morning visit, then spend the afternoon at Dubai Mall or Burj Khalifa observation deck before the drive back.
What services do you offer?
Manicure & Pedicure (Gelish from 125 AED), Eyelash Extensions (from 150 AED), Eyebrow Lamination (100 AED), full Hair Services (cut, color, blow dry, braiding, extensions), Keratin and Protein Restoration hair treatments (from 400 AED), Massage (from 100 AED), Waxing (from 20 AED). The 6-Hand Combo Package — three technicians working simultaneously on manicure, pedicure and lashes — is 400 AED and takes about 3 hours, the best value combination on the menu. Specialised additions: nail design at 25 AED per nail, gel extensions full set 175 AED, 3D designs 200 AED, eyebrow correction with tinting 100 AED combined. We do not offer chemical peels, injectables, Nanoplastia, or laser hair removal — these are outside our scope of practice. For weddings and event prep, ask about the bridal package which combines hair styling, makeup, manicure, pedicure, lashes and brow shape; typical total runs 800–1200 AED depending on the services chosen.
What hours are you open?
Daily 10:00 to 21:00, including weekends and public holidays. We are open during all major holidays except 1 January (limited hours). Late-evening slots (after 20:00) are popular among working professionals — book ahead via WhatsApp at +971 58 554 9788. The quietest hours are weekday mornings 10:00–12:00 (perfect for unhurried service or first-time clients who want longer consultation). The busiest hours are Thursday and Friday evenings 18:00–21:00 and Saturday afternoons 13:00–18:00. During Ramadan we shift hours slightly to align with Iftar — typically 14:00 to 02:00 — message us on WhatsApp for the current Ramadan schedule. The 19:00–21:00 window is genuinely uncrowded mid-week, ideal for long services like keratin or mega volume lashes where you want full master attention. For Eid and New Year periods, confirm hours one week ahead because they vary by year.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes, daily. Short services (manicure, threading, small waxing, blow dry) almost always have same-day availability. Longer services (color, keratin, lash extensions, massage packages) need booking. Message us on WhatsApp 30 minutes ahead and we will confirm a slot. The 6-Hand Combo Package specifically needs advance booking because it requires three technicians to be free at the same time — usually a one-hour notice is enough during off-peak hours, but 24 hours ahead is safer for weekends. If you arrive without notice we will give an honest wait-time estimate at the front desk before you decide whether to stay. No deposit is required for standard services, and cancellation is fine if you give us two hours notice via WhatsApp. For first-time clients we add 5 minutes of consultation time to your appointment so the master can check your nail or skin condition before starting, which helps avoid surprises mid-service.
Why choose a Russian-speaking salon?
Russian beauty schools are world-renowned for precision, hygiene, and longevity techniques — hardware manicure, isolated lash extensions, lamination, and salon-grade color work. Russian-speaking expats appreciate communicating in their native language with technicians who understand specific terms and references without translation. The vocabulary of nail design ("квадрат-софт", "мягкий миндаль", "однотон", "градиент") and lash styles ("лисий взгляд", "беличий", "натуральный") is understood across the team without explanation. Beyond language, the technical standard of CIS beauty schools — three years of structured training before a master is allowed at the client chair, mandatory continuing education, internal practical exams — translates into the work you see and feel. That is the actual reason rather than just the language convenience. For non-Russian-speaking clients, the same training shows up in cleaner cuticle work, longer-lasting gel, and lash sets without stickies — so the benefit is the technique, accessible to everyone regardless of which language you book in.
My go-to place for everything in Downtown Dubai — fast service, talented team, and right next to the office. Walk-in friendly even on Fridays.
