Our prices
Every set, every time
Sterile prep
Every instrument passes through an autoclave at 121 °C between clients — the same standard used in Dubai Health Authority clinics. We open sealed pouches in front of you, shape the nail, soften and push back the cuticle (no cutting unless requested), and remove any old polish residue.
Premium gelish color
We work with certified gel polish lines including OPI, CND Shellac and Kodi Professional. Pick from over 200 in-house shades — classic French, milky nude, deep burgundy, jelly translucents, chrome powders, or any custom design you bring from Pinterest.
Even, chip-free application
Two to three thin coats are cured under a 36-watt LED lamp at the correct exposure time for each color tone. The free edge is sealed on every coat — that's the single trick that prevents lifting at the tip and gives you the full 2–3 week wear.
Aftercare
Nail oil is massaged into the cuticle, hand cream rubbed in, and we hand you a small bottle of cuticle oil along with a short aftercare card. Follow it for the first 24 hours and your set will look fresh until the next appointment.
Why book here
CIS-trained masters
Our nail technicians come from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus — the school of European hardware manicure, where deep cuticle work, even nail bed shaping and chip-free coats are taught for years before a master is allowed at the client chair.
Honest 125 AED
One transparent price for full gelish manicure. No surprise fees, no aggressive upselling. Add-ons like eyelash extensions and brow correction are listed in the pricing table with their own clear cost.
Walk-ins welcome
Open daily from 10:00 to midnight, including weekends and holidays. Pop in after work, before brunch, or during a Downtown shopping break — booking ahead via WhatsApp is recommended for evenings.
From the salon
Russian manicure, explained
The technique we use is often called Russian manicure or European hardware manicure. Instead of soaking your hands and cutting the cuticle with scissors, the master uses a low-speed rotary tool with fine ceramic and diamond bits to remove the dead skin layer around the nail with millimetre precision.
The result is what you see in salon photos: a perfectly clean nail bed that extends right up to the eponychium, an even rounded shape, and gel polish that sits flush with the skin. There is no white edge after a week, no chipping from the cuticle line, and the manicure looks freshly done for the full two to three weeks of wear.
A classic wet manicure (still common in most international salons) softens the skin first and trims with cuticle nippers. It is faster and cheaper, but the cuticle re-grows quickly and the polish edge often lifts within 7–10 days. We do offer classic prep if you specifically prefer it — but most of our clients switch to the hardware technique after their first visit and never look back.
I've tried many places for a gel manicure, but this salon is by far the best. The nail techs are skilled, and my nails always come out looking flawless and lasting for weeks without chipping.
Common questions
How long does a gelish manicure last?
A properly applied gelish manicure at Matryoshka lasts 2 to 3 weeks without chipping, lifting or fading. We use premium gel polish lines — OPI, CND Shellac and Kodi Professional — and prep the nail surface carefully so each coat bonds evenly. The single trick that buys you the extra week of wear is sealing the free edge with every coat, which prevents lifting at the tip. With proper aftercare (cuticle oil daily, gloves for cleaning, no peeling at the edges) most clients comfortably reach 21–25 days before the next appointment.
How much does manicure and pedicure cost at Matryoshka?
Our most popular service is the gelish manicure at 125 AED, and the gelish pedicure is also 125 AED. A simple manicure with regular polish is 100 AED, and the same for pedicure. The 6-Hand Combo Package — manicure, pedicure and eyelash extension done simultaneously by three technicians in 90 minutes — is 350 AED, which is the best value if you want everything done in one visit. Specialised services like Japanese manicure (140 AED), nail extension full set (150 AED), and 3D gel extensions (200 AED) are listed in our full pricing table above. Nail designs (CAT EYE, OMBRE, FRENCH, DOTS, CHROME) are 25 AED each.
How long does a manicure or pedicure take?
A full gelish manicure takes 45 to 60 minutes depending on the condition of your cuticles and the design complexity. A gelish pedicure takes about 60 minutes including foot soak, exfoliation and coating. Nail extensions and 3D designs typically take 2.5 to 3 hours. The 6-Hand Combo Package is completed in just 90 minutes because three trained technicians work on your hands, feet and lashes simultaneously — perfect if you have an event the same evening.
What is the difference between Russian and classic manicure?
Russian (or European hardware) manicure uses a low-speed rotary tool with fine ceramic and diamond bits to remove the dead skin layer around the nail with millimetre precision — no soaking, no cutting. The result is a perfectly clean nail bed extending right up to the eponychium, with gel polish that sits flush against the skin and looks freshly done for the full 2–3 weeks. Classic wet manicure soaks the skin first and trims with cuticle nippers — faster and cheaper, but the cuticle re-grows quickly and the polish edge often lifts within 7–10 days. We perform both techniques and most clients switch to the hardware method after their first visit.
Is the salon hygienic? How do you sterilise tools?
Hygiene is non-negotiable. Every instrument passes through an autoclave at 121 °C between clients — the same medical-grade sterilization standard used in Dubai Health Authority clinics. We open sealed sterile pouches in front of you so you can see the tools are fresh. Files, buffers and orange sticks are single-use and disposed of after each appointment. Surfaces, lamps and the chair armrests are disinfected between every client. Matryoshka is licensed by Dubai Department of Economy and operates under DHA hygiene guidelines.
Do you accept walk-ins, or do I need to book?
Yes, we welcome walk-ins every day from 10:00 to 24:00, including weekends and public holidays. That said, booking via WhatsApp at +971 58 554 9788 is strongly recommended for Friday and Saturday evenings, and any time after 18:00, because chairs do fill up. Most weekday daytime slots are available on short notice. If you message us 30 minutes ahead, we can almost always find you a chair the same day.
Which languages does the team speak?
Our team speaks Russian, English and Arabic fluently, with some staff also speaking Ukrainian and Tagalog. You can describe exactly the shape, length, color and design you want without translation issues. Russian-speaking clients especially appreciate that nail technicians understand specific terms like "квадрат-софт", "однотон" or "градиент" without explanation. Bring a Pinterest or Instagram screenshot if you have a specific look in mind — we work with reference images all day.
Where is the salon and is there parking?
Matryoshka Beauty Salon is located at the Carlton Downtown Hotel, M Floor, on Sheikh Zayed Road in Trade Center Second — a 4-minute walk from the Financial Centre metro station and 8 minutes from Burj Khalifa. The Carlton Downtown Hotel has its own underground paid parking accessible from Sheikh Zayed Road service road. Valet parking is available at the hotel lobby. If you arrive by Uber or Careem, set the drop-off pin to the Carlton Downtown Hotel main entrance.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash (AED), all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay and Google Pay through our terminal. Bank transfer is available for the massage packages (5 and 10 sessions). We do not accept cryptocurrency or pre-paid international vouchers. Tipping is appreciated but not expected — clients usually leave 10–20 AED in cash or add it to the card transaction.
